Well first of all a perennial flower is basically a flowering plant that lasts a long time. Budding only seasonally but not dieing at the root during the winter months. There are a lot of different kinds of perennial flowers and perennial flower identification processes. It is a good idea to plan around the different seasons that your perennial flower buds that way you can have near year round color in your garden.

1. Some Types of Lilly
The Checkered Lily and the Asiatic Lily Jacqueline to name a few are both beautiful choices for your flower bed. The checkered pattern in the Checkered Lilly are in shades of white and burgundy and are truly a site to behold. The Asiatic Lilly is of a totally different nature with beautiful Magenta red tips with yellow cores.

Known more for it’s lovely and calming fragrance the Lavender is also a perennial flowering plant. It comes in a few shades of lovely purple of course however it also comes in a few varieties of white. You really can’t go wrong with Lavender in your garden, you can gaze at the beautiful plant but you can also dry the flowers for wonderful potpourri.

4. Daisies
Daisies are very pleasant to look at and are wonderful to clip and display in your home as well. There are several different Daisies with perennial flower identification written all over them. One is the Shasta Daisy Broadway Lights, what a show stopper this little flower will be at your house. Blooms in a breathtaking yellow and just captures the eye with its spot like exuberance.

5. The Bleeding Heart
Sounds a bit fierce I know but when this plant blooms in the Spring you will know why it is called such. The Dicentra, spectabilis is a very gorgeous type of this flower and is certainly a site to see. It is a plant the will grow bigger every year and every year it will bloom it’s pink and white ‘Bleeding Hearts’ for you to gaze upon in wonder.

Just like every flower each perennial flower does well in certain types of areas so take note of the chart when looking for yours.
